Highly efficient frequency conversions were conducted to obtain deep-ultraviolet single-mode coherent light by use of two-stage external cavities. A power of 154 mW at approximately 252 nm was obtained with a conversion efficiency of more than 8% by doubly resonant sum-frequency mixing of 373-nm light from the first-stage conversion and 780-nm light from a single-mode Ti:sapphire laser. The output performance of the deep-ultraviolet light source is sufficient for use in the laser cooling of neutral silicon atoms.  相似文献

A new efficient system for transporting saccharides through a liquid membrane has been constructed. The transport rates of saccharides were accelerated greatly by the cyclodextrin dimer 2; by contrast, the corresponding cyclodextrin monomer 1 was not effective at mediating saccharide transport. The transport rate of D-ribose through a chloroform liquid membrane was 17 times faster when the cyclodextrin dimer 2 was used as the transporter than when the cyclodextrin monomer 1 was used. Similarly the transport rate of methyl D-galactopyranoside was 16 times faster by 2 than by 1.  相似文献

4-[(Trimethylstannyl)diphenylsilyl]butanoyl radical, arising from the corresponding 3-(stannylsilyl)propyl radical and CO, undergoes an SHi reaction at Si with extrusion of trimethyltin radical to give silacyclopentanone. The parent 3-(stannylsilyl)propyl radical was also found to isomerize to (3-stannylpropyl)silyl radical via a 1,4-Sn shift from Si to C with a rate constant of 9.3 x 10(4) s-1 at 80 degrees C. Ab initio and DFT MO calculations support a front-side attack mechanism.  相似文献

Nitrogen-substituted titanium dioxide thin films were found to undergo hydrophilic conversion under irradiation with visible light. The hydrophilicity was enhanced by increasing the degree of nitrogen substitution at oxygen sites. The water contact angle for the thin film with the greatest hydrophilicity, TiO1.9884N0.0116, changed from 20 degrees to 6 degrees following irradiation.  相似文献

We have considered itinerant memory dynamics in a chaotic neural network composed of four chaotic neurons with synaptic connections determined by two orthogonal stored patterns as a simple example of a chaotic itinerant phenomenon in dynamical associative memory. We have analyzed a mechanism of generating the itinerant memory dynamics with respect to intersection of a pair of alpha branches of periodic points and collapse of a periodic in-phase attracting set. The intersection of invariant sets is numerically verified by a novel method proposed in this paper.  相似文献

Vicinal 4H and 6H-SiC(0001) surfaces have been investigated using atomic force microscopy and cross-sectional high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. We observed the characteristic self-ordering of nanofacets on any surface, regardless of polytypes and vicinal angles, after gas etching at high temperature. Two facet planes are typically revealed: (0001) and high index (112;n) that are induced by equilibrium surface phase separation. A (112;n) plane may have a free energy minimum due to attractive step-step interactions. The differing ordering distances in 4H and 6H polytypes imply the existence of SiC polytypic dependence on nanofaceting. Thus, it should be possible to control SiC surface nanostructures by selecting a polytype, a vicinal angle, and an etching temperature.  相似文献

To explore the structure-dependent hydrogen abstraction in antiparallel and parallel G-quartet DNA structures, the photochemical reactivity of 5-iodouracil ((I)U)-containing human telomeric DNA 22-mers was investigated under the 302 nm UV irradiation conditions. We discovered that only antiparallel ODN 4, in which the second T residue in the diagonal loop of the antiparallel G-quartet is substituted with (I)U, was rapidly consumed as compared with parallel ODN 4 and the other (I)U-containing 22-mers under the irradiation conditions. Product analysis of the photolyzate of antiparallel ODN 4 indicated that a 2'-deoxyribonolactone residue was effectively produced at the 5' side of the (I)U residue in the diagonal loop. Photochemical 2'-deoxyribonolactone formation was also found in the (I)U-containing diagonal loop of antiparallel G-quartets d(GGGGTTT(I)UGGGG)(2) and d(GGGGTT(I)UTGGGG)(2), whereas the reaction did not occur at other DNA structures, including the single-stranded form, the loop region of the hairpin, and linear four-stranded G-quartets. The results clearly indicate that this type of 2'-deoxyribonolactone formation efficiently occurrs only in the diagonal loop of the antiparallel G-quartet. Furthermore, we found that 2'-deoxyribonolactone was formed at the (I)U-containing G-rich sequence of the IgG switch regions and the 5' termini of the Rb gene, suggesting the formation of an antiparallel G-quartet with a diagonal loop in these sequences. These results suggest that the present photochemical method can be used as a specific probe for the antiparallel G-quartet with the diagonal loop.  相似文献
